More Than an Algorithm

A short story about us

I was tired of the noise, the subjectiveness, the bias. "Expert" picks with no explanation, flashy graphics hiding lazy analysis, and black-box algorithms that felt more like a slot machine than a real strategy. I loved the challenge of sports betting, but I was frustrated by the lack of genuine, transparent tools built for the everyday fan.

My passion, however, isn't just sports—it's data. As a statistician who lives and breathes statistics (seriously, I build models in R for fun), I knew there had to be a better way. I was convinced that hidden within the raw numbers was a clearer story—an edge that was waiting to be found.

So, I started a project. It began on my laptop as ProphetML, a personal script to test classroom lectures in real-world data. Over the years, through thousands of hours of back-testing, tweaking, and refining, it evolved into what is now the Pivot Wider™ model—the engine that powers this entire platform.

Pivot Bets was born from that project with a simple mission: to empower bettors, not exploit them.
